Today, Baccus serves as the Health & Safety Manager at Liberia Electricity Corporation.
Dr. Mario Berrios Castro, DGL Alumnus, currently serves as a physician in an orthopedic ward of a local hospital in Chinandega, Nicaragua. Mario shares, “Coming from a family with very limited resources, college was out of reach; I could only dream about it ... Thanks to my Young Life Developing Global Leaders sponsor, I was able to attend college and pursue a career in medicine.”
Watch the inspiring story of one of DGL's most faithful supporters, Tara Buzzelli, who dusted off her degree, came out of retirement, and traveled to New York City to treat the sickest and most frail COVID-19 patients. Tara and her husband, Matt, sponsor a DGL student in Africa.
Raley Parker, franchise owner, incorporated a DGL display in his Jersey Mike's restaurants to encourage his customers to get involved with Young Life locally and globally.
Joe Laboon, founder and owner of Georgia Kitchens in Buford, Georgia, has taken sponsorship to a whole new level, dedicating an entire wall in his showroom to showcasing the students he sponsors. His hope is that he will inspire his customers and other businesses to join him in sponsoring DGL students around the globe.
